The Steele Dossier itself is a collection of reports compiled by Christopher Steele, using Steele’s sources in Russia, from 3 decades of spying on Russia. Nobody can credibly claim Steele made up the Dossier as a work of pure fiction. IF the Dossier is fake, as Trump alleges, it’s because Steele was fed false information from the Russian government. The Russia investigation is threatening to Trump’s presidency. If Steele was just a middle man in a Russian plot to undermine Trump, then why does Trump criticize Steele and the Dossier all the time, but not the Russian government?
Trump seems to get along great with Putin.
IF the Steele Dossier is fake, and Putin/Russia planted fake information to undermine Trump, why is Trump pissed at Steele but happy with Russia’s role as the actual main perpetrator of the disinformation? That is not logical. It’s just much more straight forward that the Dossier is mostly correct, Trump and Russia conspired, and Russia has blackmail material on Trump, so Trump can’t criticize Russia.
And all those meetings between Team Trump and Russian agents: If they weren’t colluding, then Putin was setting up Trump. But Trump gets along great with Putin.
